Vázzoalgi (1091) & Lille Rieppefjellet (1133), Tromsø, Norway

The North face of Vázzoalgi and the lake Lille Rieppevatnet (522).

Vázzoalgi and Lille Rieppefjellet are situated on the West side of Sørfjorden.
A brief route description: Start from the farm Sveingarden and follow a good path up Sveindalen to Sveingardvatnet (252). Follow the stream up to Lille Rieppevatnet (522). Our plan was to follow the shore of the lake on either the north or south side to the western end of the lake - and then climb a couloir leading to the col
between Vázzoalgi and Lille Rieppefjellet - but both ways were blocked by cliffs that plummeted straight down to the lake. We were therefore forced to scramble the North ridge of point 964 and follow the South ridge to the col between Vázzoalgi and Lille Rieppefjellet. Both summits are easily reached from the col.

Climbed by Kent-Hugo Norheim and Geir Jenssen, 7. October 2009.
