A telephoto of Lavangstinden taken from Langdaltinden.
Lavangstinden is situated on the North side of Lavangsdalen near Sjursnes in Ullsfjord.
Start from Nakkedalen and follow the rather steep Vargedalen on the West side of Nakkefjellet / Náhkkevárri up to the hanging vally (600 m).
From the bottom of Vargedalen climb a rather steep section up to the saddle between Point 978 and Point 1032. A less steeper alternative is to follow the South West side towards Musnestinden to Point 978 and then follow the North ridge to the summit.
